| Bio: | Ok so I should tell people about me.
Alright allow me to introduce myself, *removes hat and bows* I am Duarte Goncalves do Monte, a Portugese Lord living in Elizabethan England. I have been playing in the SCA since AS XXXI (1996). I am primarily a rapier combatant but I also delve into armoured combat and archery as well as some of the arts and sciences, in particular costuming, calligraphy and dancing. I also do some work with the Chirurgenatte.
Mundanely I am half Irish and half Welsh, born and bred in Ireland, in 2001 I left Ireland and moved to London for three years. Two years ago I moved to Swansea and have been in Wales since then. I currently work for the NHS as a nursing support worker in Accident & Emergency. I have been working in nursing for five years, and have spent three years in emergency care. I love nursing :). I have tried over the years to get qualified as a nurse, but I have met one or two minor academic setbacks.
Outside of work I occasionaly go to fight with the Glamorgan School of Arms in Swansea. I also occasionaly do some volunteer work with St Johns Ambulance, I have done voluntary work with them in some way or form since I was 13. I also love roleplaying and swimming and bowling and going to the cinema, and walking and eating and gaming :) |
